What is the purpose of this web site?

This web site serves enables members of the Dallas Fort Worth Mercury Users Group to post their upcoming meeting information.  Currently, we are in the process of adding other useful information for members, such as resources, job openings (posted by sponsors), and presentations from prior meetings.

If I register on the web site, am I a member?

No – registering on the web site only allows us to email you a reminder notice just before each meeting.  Registering on the web site also enables you to “enroll” as a guest for the next meeting.

Why am I not receving  email notices about the upcoming  meetings?

Login to the www.dfwmug.com  web site with your user id and password, then click on “Account” in the top right corner, and verify that your correct email address is listed. If your email is correct, verify that your spam filter is not catching the emails from "dfwmug.com".

 When are the meetings held?

Usually, there is a meeting on the second Tuesday of the month at 4:30 PM.  Traditionally we have skipped July and December.   There is a  “members-only” dinner meeting in October.   The meeting location varies but is normally held at a sponsor’s office building.   Complete information for the next meeting is always posted on the home page of the web site.

Can I attend a meeting if I’m not a member?

Yes, guests are welcome to attend one or two meetings.  However, we expect you to join if you plan to attend regularly.

How can I become a “member”  of the DFW  Mercury Users Group?

Attend a meeting and pay the $10 bi-annual dues. Your membership expires two years from the date you paid your dues.

Can I pay my dues online?

Yes, using PayPal.  Click on your name in the top right hand corner of this page (next to the "Logout"), then select "Manage Services", then click on "Subscribe" - the last one at the bottom of the page.  This will take you to a secure PayPal  screen.

Whom do I contact if I want to be a speaker at the DFW MUG meetings?

When you attend a DFW MUG meeting, please tell one of the officers of your interest.  The technical committee will contact you and let you know the requirements for our presentations. 

There's an open job in my group for someone who is experienced in a Mercury product(s).  Can I post the job listing on this web site?

No, only Sponsors can post jobs on their pages.

How to I remove myself from this mailing list?

Log in using your user id and password.  Click on your name in the upper right corner (next to the Logout link).  Click on the red X beside the word "unregister".   The site will send one last email telling you that you have been un-registered from our email list.
