1. 10 Steps to rise to the top of the Quality Maturity Model
Rick Barzen, Director of SQM and Managed Services, Genilogix
Synopsis: The concept of the quality maturity model (QMM) may not be new, but it has become critical to companies looking to differentiate themselves from other competitors in their industry. As organizations establish and improve their software quality processes, they progress through five levels of maturity. Each level provides a layer in the foundation for continuous process improvement this is comprised of goals and sub-goals that stabilizes components of the software quality and testing process. Achieving each level of the maturity model institutionalizes a unique component within the process, resulting in a quality process throughout the organization. During this session we will discuss the keys for enabling your organization to take the right steps up the QMM ladder.
During the presentation participants can expect to explore and discuss ways how they too can:
• Understand the quality goals and objectives for the organization.
• Learn to evaluate your current organization quality maturity level.
• Identify the organizational quality challenges.
• Define a roadmap for continuous improvement through the QMM steps:

o Initializing
o Standardized
o Managed
o Optimized
• Develop reporting metrics to measure and manage the effort.
